For the purpose of this assignment, the assumption will be made that the project will be introduced and started on 10/11/11. This will provide a framework and reference for the due dates included in this outline.
Pre-Production
Introduce the project requirements using the handout below and assign project groups:
Students will analyze the parameters of the assignment and will work to create their screenplay. The screenplay will be written using the standard screenplay format. Students will use the template in Pages (mac i'Work package) to start. The pre-production due dates are listed below:
Screenplay 10/14/11 - The screenplay must be in proper screenplay format using the template in Pages. Remember to use your correct abbreviations found on p. 24 of the Hamlett text.
Shotlist 10/14/11 - Shot list should be created using the format found on p. 106 of the Patmore text.
Production
Students will work on filming and lighting their scenes from 10/17-10/19/11
Work Log 10/28/11 - Keep track of your role within the group and the duties you performed. This will makeup your participation grade.
Post-Production
Editing -10/20-10/21/11 - Students will edit their films to create their rough cut for critique by other students in the class.
Critique Day 10/24/11
Final cut is due for turn-in half-way through your period.
Final Film Project 10/28/11
FInal cut of the film project is due.
